The Hanging Garden and beyond: Exploring Patrick White’s manuscripts (updated)
The recent publication of Patrick White’s novel The Hanging Garden was made possible by the work of University of Sydney researchers who transcribed the work from manuscript in the National Library of Australia. Professors Margaret Harris and Elizabeth Webby, together with research assistant Jennifer Moore, will talk about their Australian Research Council project on the Patrick White manuscripts acquired by the NLA in 2006, demonstrating ways in which this material freshly illuminates White’s career.

Library printing and photocopying update

To simplify printing and photocopying at University libraries, all visitors will now use ‘printing and photocopying payment’ (PPP) cards, which can be purchased and topped-up at any library.
PPP cards cost $4, and include $4 of pre-loaded credit.
Printing and photocopying methods in ICT Access Labs and Learning Hubs, and at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music are unchanged.
The pre-paid functionality on Student Campus Cards can still be used for other purchases on campus, but not for printing and photocopying at University libraries.
For more information, visit the Library’s Printing and Photocopying web-page.
