We have added tabbed searching to the Library’s homepage so you can now do all your first searches in one convenient location.

Use CrossSearch to Search across the catalogue and electronic resources for books, articles, music and more, perform a regular Catalogue search or try our new Ask a Librarian service.

Law Short Loan books are now borrowable under the same conditions as Law Research books.

Loans are for 8 weeks, are renwable and can be recalled.

Recalled books must be returned within one week.

A cake stall will be held at both locations to raise extra funds.

Colin is currently involved in the “Wollumbin Dreaming”, an Aboriginal Student Leadership Program. He is also a student from the Faculty of Education and Social Work and the Koori Centre, and Aboriginal Education Officer (AEO) at Kingscliff High School. Previously Colin has worked as Aboriginal Community Liaison Officer (ACLO) for the Department of Education and Communities (DEC).

“If I make my thesis available on open access I won’t be able to publish it.” Wrong, you will still be able to publish it.

There are many misconceptions in relation to making your thesis available on open access, this is the main one and it’s incorrect. Any reputable publisher will take the thesis as a raw manuscript and will edit it so that it is palatable to a wider audience. We’ve all had library sessions where we’ve asked students to come up with some synonyms for keywords and we’ve been met with silence. We’ve also had plenty of classes where students have been happy to suggest alternate terms, but they haven’t gone beyond ‘thesaurus terms’, suggesting a shallow engagement with the topic.
